HAVIN is a dual center, meaning that we provide services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault AND their significant others.

24 HOUR HOTLINE

EMERGENCY SHELTER

HAVIN hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for crisis counseling and information and referral. Hotline is available to anyone who needs help in Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault & Stalking situations. Survivors and their families & friends and professionals who seek information about how they might better meet the needs of their clients who are victims are encouraged to utilize our hotline. 

A secure, confidential shelter is available for individuals who are unsafe in their homes due to Domestic Violence and/or Sexual Assault. Shelter approval is dependent upon availability. Advocates are available 24/7 to assist guests in support, education, options & information and referral to community resources. 

INFORMATION & REFERRAL

We can provide referrals to a number of different agencies, depending on your needs. 

ADVOCACY &
ACCOMPANIMENT

We will accompany survivors and their significant others to Protections From Abuse proceedings, criminal, civil and juvenile court, as well as medical, mental health or social service appointments. 

OUTREACH & EDUCATION

Prevention and educational programs available to schools, churches, community and civic organizations. 

TRANSPORTATION

We can provide transportation from a secure location to shelter. 

COUNSELING OPTIONS

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

Individual counseling sessions are available at HAVIN by appointment. Counseling focuses on safety planning and discussing the feelings, fears, and frustrations of those impacted by violence with a focus on developing skills for living, not just surviving. Ongoing counseling includes Domestic Violence Counseling, Sexual Assault Counseling, Child Counseling and Parent Bonding. 

GROUP COUNSELING

Groups are designed to explore participants strengths, resources and options by promoting self awareness, understanding the effects of violence and the development of coping skills in a peer supported environment facilitated by advocates.

Group counseling sessions are held in 6 week intervals held in April and in October each year. Other sessions may be available depending on participants interest.
